Intro:

With market-leading AI models in text and image generation (GPT and DALL-E respectively), OpenAI, teased Sora – Its text-to-video model, sharing early access to a closed community of security testers and a select group of video artists. The firm claims its largest model could generate up to a minute-long video from just a few lines of text or a still image. It can generate high resolution complex videos with multiple characters, specific types of motion, and accurate details of the subject and background. It can also fix missing frames on a video and even extend it. While we may not see Sora in action anytime soon, we can think of its potential implications on sectors like Academia, Business, and government to name a few. OpenAI says it has shared the research progress early to get feedback from outside the company as well as show the public what possibilities are on the horizon.
